Pistol Squat

Hip strength, stability and mobility is so important for healthy knees and low back.  You don't have to do extreme exercises such as the pistol squat to keep your back and knees healthy, but this is just to give you an idea of where you can go once you do develop hip strength, stability and mobility.  I've had two knee surgeries on my right knee and the key to my success has been hip strength and stability on my right side.  Now I'll never get back the mobility on my right side that I have on my left side, but I keep working on it every day.
